Meaningful Addiction Treatment that Works

Our belief at The Source is that people who abuse drugs usually have other issues occurring at the same time. These are referred to as co-existing conditions or a dual diagnosis. These conditions may be caused by past trauma or PTSD, childhood abuse, sexual abuse or rape, or other mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, amongst others. In many cases, the trauma experienced at a young age was so severe that it gets hidden in the depths of a person’s subconscious mind. As we identify, diagnose, and treat those underlying issues, recovery becomes a bit easier and more permanent.

Upon arrival, every client at The Source is provided with an extensive medical and psychological exam, including blood labs, nutritional analysis, medical history, and more. This information is used to help build an individualized treatment plan. While all treatment plans include 12-step work and extensive individual and group therapy, personalized treatment plans may include any or all of the following:

  • EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
  • RRT – Rapid Resolution Therapy
  • Massage Therapy
  • Mindfulness and Meditation
  • Acupuncture
  • Yoga
  • Music and Art Therapy
  • Equine Therapy
