Top Rated Outpatient Addiction Treatment Center for Alcohol, RX and Drug Rehab

There is a common misconception that many people have about addiction who have never struggled with the disease. For example, there are many people who firmly believe that addiction is a choice. They simply cannot understand why a person simply cannot stop drinking or doing drugs. In their mind, it should be easy just to quit.

The reality of addiction is much deeper and darker. The reality is that addiction is a disease and, as a result, a person that struggles with addiction requires personal care and intervention in order to overcome this condition once and for all. This is where the outpatient program at The Source Treatment Center comes into play. We work personally with clients who are ready to tackle their drug or alcohol addiction in a way that will not impede their work or school responsibilities. As a top-rated outpatient addiction treatment center, you can rest assured that you will be in excellent hands for the entire duration of your recovery program.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call The Source today.  Our treatment specialists are available 24/7 to discuss your options and help you find the perfect solution (800) 204-0418.

Can I Work During Outpatient Rehab?

One of the most popular questions that we receive from clients that are thinking of taking advantage of our outpatient treatment program revolves around whether or not they will be able to work during this period of time. The question is, unquestionably, yes. That is just one of the reasons why so many people opt to commit to an IOP rehab program in comparison to a partial hospitalization program. Our treatment team will work with you to develop a treatment schedule that will not make you feel as though you need to choose between addiction treatment or your work or school responsibilities.

Oftentimes, a person is concerned about having a conversation with their employer about needing addiction treatment. This is another aspect of your recovery that we can assist you with. We can provide you with the guidance that you need to have this type of interaction with your boss. Keep in mind that you don’t necessarily have to disclose the details of your treatment to your employer, however, if you do decide to have this conversation, we can provide you with the insight and the confidence that you need to have it.

What is Outpatient Drug Rehab Like?

Your experience in outpatient drug rehab in Cincinnati will greatly depend on the outpatient treatment program that you select. For example, an intensive outpatient program requires a client to complete a minimum of nine hours per week of therapy. This is substantially less than a partial hospitalization program which requires a minimum of 25 hours per week in therapy. However, there are many people who are unable to commit to an intensive outpatient program for one reason or another. There is still help available through our general outpatient program. This program is the most flexible option and only requires a minimum of four hours per week of therapy. Three of those hours will be in group therapy while the remaining hour will be spent in individual therapy. Keep in mind that you can always adjust your outpatient schedule. Whereas you may have been an ideal client for an intensive outpatient program at the beginning of your recovery journey, you may be more well-suited now for a general outpatient program. This is something that your treatment team will continue to communicate with you about and monitor as you progress through your recovery journey.

What To Expect During Outpatient Rehab?

The goal of your time in treatment will be to identify the root cause of your addiction. For some people, it’s easy to determine the exact event in their life that triggered their addiction. For instance, if you suffered from childhood abuse, then there is a direct chance that these events adversely impacted your sobriety as you got older. For many other people, however, the reason behind is deeper and may take some time to get to.

Regardless of which category you fall into, there are certain forms of therapy that you can participate in during your time in treatment that will help you to come to peace with these traumatic events. For example, group therapy can help you to make connections with other people that are working through their own treatment program. You will notice that group therapy is very similar to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting or a Narcotics Anonymous meeting in the sense that you will have the opportunity to share about the topic at hand and, in turn, listen to the experience or thoughts of others. This interaction can help you to build and grow your system of support which is an invaluable tool.

Another key form of therapy that you will participate in during your time in treatment is individual therapy. This form of therapy, also commonly referred to as one on one therapy, gives you the opportunity to meet with your treatment team in a personalized setting to go over different aspects of your recovery. There may be certain events in your life that you simply don’t feel comfortable talking about in a group setting. Individual therapy gives you the platform that you need to work through these aspects of your recovery so that they no longer plague you. Individual therapy is also an excellent time to review your recovery plan to ensure that you’re still comfortable with it and on the right track.
